Candidate Statement

My recent four years on council and as Healdsburg’s mayor in 2018, brings experience and skills to the table. In 2014, I ran for Healdsburg City Council on a residents first platform.

My deep conviction to inform and engage at this critical time urges me to serve my town again.

Residents and local businesses need prepared, knowledgeable representation. I will make independent, informed decisions regarding our future growth, natural resources, and economic management. I have no financial conflict of interest.

I am a passionate, visionary educator, teaching high school English in the Santa Rosa City School District for 39 years and currently substituting in Healdsburg's public schools.

As a parent of Healdsburg High School graduates, (29 year-old twins), I value supporting youth and involving seniors, especially in cultural arts.

I bring skills to cultivate community voice, valuing active listening and asking questions. I will represent the hardworking people who make Healdsburg a thriving community.  I am a middle-class homeowner who respects the habits and ethics of honest work. Energetic and positive, I will respond to your concerns.

Together let’s shape a Healdsburg that embraces its past, takes responsibility for present challenges, and sustains our legacy as a beautiful, historic town.
